Anne & Gary the Bajan Goat

Representing the spirit of mischief, joy and creativity.

About Painting with Passion

Painting became my passion after a visit to London England, just a few years back. I was moved by a beautiful painting where I was staying. The hostess informed me it was the work of her sister who had just begun to discover her inner talents.

It was profoundly inspiring. So much so, I decided to try my hand at it….even though I didn’t think I could draw a stickman!

Painting became a passion. It was a way to help me get over the “I can’t,” way of looking at challenges.

Since then, and with the guidance of Willi Wildman, an amazing painter and mentor, I have tapped into my own creativity. As my work evolves, I try to capture the unique spirit of different animals and the beautiful landscapes that surround me.

My original paintings are now available in richly coloured note cards, posters and quality canvas prints.

During the challenging year of 2020- 21, when COVID-19 impacted us all, I used the time to write a children’s book featuring many of the whimsical animals characters I have painted over the past five years.

It is a project of passion, inspiration and hope. Each of these charming animals tells a story of kindness and caring and prompts both children and adults alike to explore ways to practice these attributes. You will meet Gary the Goat from Barbados, Peg the Pig, Cheerio the English Robin and others in the book. You can order the book via e-mail anneboody@rogers.com or by going to garythegoat.ca in your browser.

During these uncertain times, nature, animals and the spirit of kindness and caring uplift me. I hope my works help lighten your spirits in the same way.

Thank you for your support.
